The Rogers Street Fishing Village and Museum opened up a new addition this summer. The new building houses some of the museum's most prized possessions, artifacts from area shipwrecks. Some of the most notable artifacts are from the Rouse Simmons, often referred to as the Christmas Tree Ship. The ship sank off the coast of Two Rivers in November of 1912. The expansion was made possible through hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations and grants.
